AAG Defence Services is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in Brize Norton, UK. We work in partnership with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft.

Our committed and flexible team of over 100 engineers and management are based in RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000m², three-bay facility designed to optimise the maintenance of the aircraft.

Essential Job Function

Pre-input planning of customer aircraft line and base maintenance in accordance with MAA Regulatory requirements governing P145 AMO, including creation of aircraft work packs, issuance of pre-load, task break-down and other scheduled maintenance planning activity. Providing full on-site Planning support to the Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer work pack for content to ensure within AAGDS P145 scope of work as detailed in the MOE.
  • Scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance work package build/assembly including milestones, resource and critical path planning.
  • Create new Task cards as required ensuring complex maintenance tasks are identified.
  • Generation of equipment summary reports including access requirements, tooling, parts and material call-ups.
  • Identification of work content requiring the services of external agencies and sub-contractors
  • Detailed review of work content including the identification of complex, safety critical, critical path and any other tasks requiring additional P145 AMO regulatory requirements.
  • Checking of tasks cards for accuracy and completeness and applying task time estimates.
  • Organise and Chair pre-input meetings to multiple stakeholders for all base inputs.
  • Follow AAGDS MOE and procedures to ensure compliance at all times.

Health and Safety

  • Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities including;
  • Be aware of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work. Including Management responsibilities as required by H&S Manual.
  • Be aware of aviation safety responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Safety Policy. Including Management responsibilities as required by the Safety Management Manual
  • Be aware of aviation security responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Security Policy.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Recent graduates in a related discipline will be considered.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK, (We are unable to offer sponsorship for this position)
  • Experience in using aircraft technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of MAA Regulations and CAMO P145 interface requirements.
  • Excellent organisational ability with high level attention to detail and logical approach to task sequencing.
  • Ability to review tasks to ensure they are adequately planned to consider Human Factors.
  • Ability to converse with the customer at all levels of seniority.
  • Good working knowledge of AMOS or similar system in a production planning role.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel at advance level.

Desirable

  • Previous Planning experience civil or military maintenance/production planning, with base or line.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, project management skills and experience, with lean management principles.
  • Effective, highly credible communicator written and with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes within AAGDS and the needs of the Customers.
  • Recognised aircraft engineering qualification.
