The team are delighted to be attending MRO America’s in Chicago this coming from April 9th – 11th! To book a meeting in advance with our sales team, contact us at sales@atlanticaviation.ie

MRO

2024 got off to a busy start in AAG with 100% of our winter maintenance slots booked up. We were excited to participate in several industry events during the first quarter including the Dublin Aviation Summit in January, where we had the chance to meet up with customers, suppliers, and industry peers.  In addition, and closer to home, we continue with our tradition of hosting customers onsite at our Shannon facilities and were delighted to welcome members from SMBC team to Shannon last month to showcase our heavy maintenance facilities and highlight the broad range of services we offer (airframe maintenance, parking and storage, line maintenance, structural repairs, NDT, plus more) to support Lessors and Operators alike.

Its early April and that means it is MRO Americas time! Our Sales team will be traveling to Chicago for MRO Americas from April 9th to 11th. If you’d like to meet with a team member during the event, please reach out to sales@atlanticaviation.ie to schedule a meeting.

We still have some slot availability between May and September 2024 and our Sales team are available to speak with existing and prospective customers to discuss any maintenance needs.

If you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact Adrian Foley or Majella Dooley at sales@atlanticaviation.ie

AAG CAMO has steadily grown its acquisition of new customers (operators and lessors) in new regions.

Design Services

The Part 21J team has successfully delivered a number of projects for our customers so far this year, largely focused on cabin and transition modifications as well as providing AOG support to airline operators and lessors, mitigating costly downtime for their aircraft. We are pleased to see our P21J customer base continuing to expand as a result. In the past few weeks, the team responded to several requests for quotation from airline operators new to AAG Part 21J.

Anthony Attoumani, Head of Design Organisation recently represented AAG at MRO AIME in Dubai. Throughout the event, he engaged in meetings with potential and existing customers, suppliers, OEMs, and industry colleagues. The feedback was positive and complimentary on engagement demonstrated by the Part 21J team. The successful participation underscores our commitment to excellence and strengthens our relationships within the aviation environment.

If you would like a more detailed update on the Part 21J Design Organisation capabilities, please contact Emily Mellett aviationservices@atlanticaviation.ie

Part 147 Training

Since the start of the year, our Training Academy has been actively engaged in visiting local schools, offering career advice to students interested in pursuing a career in aircraft maintenance. Partnering with three schools in the Mid-West, the AAG Training Academy has provided students with the exclusive opportunity to undergo aptitude and practical assessments for our Cat A aircraft maintenance course. These assessments serve as a platform for students to familiarise themselves with the testing process, and successful results will be recognised should they apply for future courses. Our newest Cat A1 Trainee class commenced in February, with two additional classes scheduled for June and October at our Shannon location. Recruitment efforts for both courses are already underway. We will also be conducting two EASA Cat A1 Programmes in collaboration with the CDETB in Dublin in the Autumn.

In addition, our international office is bustling with activity as we are currently processing applications for our October intake of our BSc in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, in partnership with the Technological University of the Shannon.

We have delivered several aircraft type courses since the start of the year including our B737NG Full Type course which started in January with attendees from within AAG as well as external customers. We also held a B737NG General Familiarisation training course in March for new and returning customers. We are delivering a A330 Gen Fam in April for some of our valued customers.

AAG 147 also recently hosted the Mid West Regional Skills Forum in our Shannon Facility and welcomed our Industry colleagues, showcasing our Training Academy Facilities and the world’s largest classroom, our Part 147 MRO.
