Meet Musa Rizvi, Aircraft Mechanic

Musa Rizvi joined the Atlantic Aviation Group team over a year ago and is a key member of our production team as an Aircraft Mechanic. Working in our MRO, Musa is highly skilled in Aircraft Maintenance with over 17 years experience. Already, Musa has made a significant impact and received a ‘Go Beyond’ Special Recognition award in January 2020 for his hard work. We caught up with Musa to learn more about his experience in Atlantic Aviation Group.

 

Can you tell me about yourself and your career so far? When did you join the team at Atlantic Aviation Group and how has your experience been?

have 17 years of maintenance experience in the aviation industry, with a combination of both line and base maintenance. I started my career in year 2000 and completed my aeronautical diploma in 2003I have been working with different organizations and finally joined AAG in 2019.  

So far, I have experienced fantastic and friendly working environment, working with great people who have extraordinary hand skillsgreat teamwork, and the ability to complete tasks within the time frame 

What inspired you to work in aviation?

The aviation industry opens doors to a variety of exclusive career paths and so much more to learn. I was inspired to work in aviation because of a continuous growth in career. 

Can you describe to me what it is like to work in your department/team?

It is always fun at work with the team, especially when you have cooperative team members with friendly working environment. Because of this, the performance of the team is enhanced. I believe having a good team and corporative department can play a very vital role in the progress of individuals and plays a positive role for an organization.   

What is a typical day at work for you? What are some of your favourite tasks to do/projects to work on?

My day starts at 10.00am and the first thing I do is meeting with Crew Leader and he will brief the tasks need to be accomplished that day. My preferred area to work is on engine and landing gears, but even if I am not allocated on preferred area, I love to learn new things on other areas too.  

What are the benefits to working in AAG?

Fantastic opportunity to learn, flexible in working schedule, working with skilled people, pension scheme and a subsidised canteen. 

What’s your favourite thing about working in AAG?

My favourite thing about working in AAG is the friendly working environment, working with skilled people, the open door policy for the employees to discuss their matters with the management, and the most important factor is the astonishing support from HR towards employee development and career growth.  

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

If I were to have one superpower, I would keep my efficiency increased infinitely; to be more efficient and supreme in all aspects of life. The ability to manage time is an important skill that gives you the capacity to spot ways to improve processes and accomplish tasks more swiftly.
