The AAG Sales team were also delighted to attend numerous industry events over the past three months including MRO Americas in April 2023. The show was well-attended and a great success allowing the sales team the opportunity to meet with both existing and prospective customers. Q2 has brought significant updates to the Part 147 Training Team. Since Atlantic Aviation Group’s acquisition of Lufthansa Technik Shannon Ltd. in March 2022, we have been working to integrate our two training schools – Atlantic Aviation Institute and Shannon Aviation Training Academy (formerly known as Lufthansa Technik Shannon Aviation Training School). Thanks to the great work of both training schools, we are delighted to be moving forward as a fully integrated training team and will be formally known as the Atlantic Aviation Group Training Academy. On 23rd May, we marked this occasion by inviting our partners, suppliers, and customers on-site to celebrate with our team. We are looking forward to this new chapter as the Atlantic Aviation Training Academy.

Q2 also saw the appointment of Aidan Dooley as Head of Part 147 Training. Aidan brings a wealth of experience with over 25 years working in different Engineering roles for AAG including 10 years in training. Aidan started his career at AAG as an apprentice in 1996.  In 2001 he gained B1 inspector approval and a year later became supervisor leading a core production team for 10 years. Since 2012, Aidan has been part of training team and was involved with the development of the AAI Part 147 training school (now Atlantic Aviation Group Training Academy.)
