Atlantic Aviation Group get set for take-off in 2016

The team at Atlantic Aviation Group in Shannon gathered this week to review the company’s strategic plans for the year ahead. The talk took place on the company’s hangar floor at their facility in Shannon Airport and included presentations from CEO Connor Flanagan and Irish owner Patrick Jordan, who bought the company earlier this year.

Over the past months new CEO Connor Flanagan has focused on building the foundation for the company’s long term success. In his end-of-year meeting with the team at Atlantic Aviation, he commented “A key priority for the business is to create a strategy that will ensure long-term sustainability and growth for the company and staff. The focus for 2016 will centre on continuous improvement and innovation to ensure that we are providing the best possible service for our customers, while also looking strategically at new and diverse ways to build and grow our business.”
Speaking about the team at Atlantic Aviation, he noted “Staff and company culture are at the centre of building a successful business and thankfully at Atlantic Aviation, we have a great team that are always willing to put their shoulders to the wheel. We hope to build on an already strong tradition of quality and craftsmanship by engaging with both our customers and our team to continuously enhance and evolve our service”.

Originally founded in 1962, Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG) Group provides comprehensive maintenance, training and engineering services to international operators of Boeing B737, B757 & B767 type aircraft with approvals, which include European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) 145 / 147, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 145 and various other National Aviation Authority (NAA) approvals.

Atlantic Aviation Group is a critical employer in the mid-west region and is part of the well-established aviation hub in Shannon. With ambitious plans for the future, the company is seeking to expand and currently have positions open for a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE) to support establishment of a new EASA Part21J Design Organisation, aircraft mechanics with aircraft systems, sheet metal and avionic experience and licensed B1/B2 engineers.
