AAG have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated career focused and ambitious Aircraft Production Controller to support the weekend shift in Hangar 2. Our aim as a team is to attract and develop key talent across all levels of our growing aviation business. There are two positions to support alternate weekends.
Shift Pattern
The shift pattern will be similar to the current Flexi Shift, with some modifications. For shift pattern details please contact the Production Manager.
Where a Monday is not supported by the Shift Pattern, the APC will be required to dial into the Production Meeting at 1000 and provide an update from the weekend operation.
Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
General Responsibility
- Oversees the operational environment of the Production Team in Hangar 2, supporting the delivery of accepted aviation standards for multiple customers.
- Act as the single point of contact for all Hangar activities, including all onsite Staff.
- Participates in, and contributes to, weekend planning & production meetings and all other applicable scheduled meetings.
- Will be expected to present reports as required in relation to weekend activities and any projects under his/her control.
- Supports and participates in the professional development and training needs of Production staff, providing direction and encouragement where necessary
- Lead, organise, measure, and control the performance of the production team in support of organisational goals and objectives.
- Leads the production team, through demonstrated and appropriate AAG behaviours and sets expectations for others.
- Chair the Weekend Progress Meeting on Saturday and Sunday.
- Communicates effectively and accurately with the cross functional team from Planning, Supply Chain and Technical Services Engineering.
- Liaises with the Customer Representatives in relation to maintenance input progress, agreement of manhours and standards of work in and around the aircraft.
- Ensures the accurate and timely completion of aircraft documentation.
- Supports, and participates in, the maintenance organisations development and implementation of continuous improvement and business excellence initiatives.
- Will be the point of contact for Hangar during rostered shift and will be expected to be contactable out of hours with the company supplied phone.

Candidate Requirements
- You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance leadership role
- Desirable – Hold either an EASA B1 or B2 Licence
- Desirable – Hold, or qualify to hold, a C release authorisation
- Ability to work a shift pattern that supports a 7-day MRO operation.
- Strong communication and social skills

Typical Working Conditions
- Primarily based in Shannon however travel is a requirement of the role
- Wille be required to work across each weekend (This role will have the ability to accrue time in lieu and will be paid overtime at the current agreed rate per AAG policy).
- PPE is provided by Atlantic Aviation Group and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work
- Flexibility to work holidays and overtime, may be required
- Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements
