Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
Essential Job Function
- Become expert in all aircraft planning related processes and gain reasonable knowledge in job card related processes.
- Prepare all relevant documentation for planned maintenance work for assigned layovers from receipt of customer work scope to preparation for print of work package
- Manage communication with the customer to ensure correct and efficient generation of the work pack
- Prepare mini/Special Projects including job cards, milestone plans, capacity plans & job card targets.
- Act as single point of contact for other departments with regards to project related OPE activities.
- Clarify and resolve technical issues / work scope with the customer.
- Support and enable visual management systems to effectively measure performance standards during layover execution.
- Support Tracking Plan of Project milestones per day, job cards, man hours in both Line and Shop.
- Collate & fix issues with plans, job cards, general preparation, and coordinate to update associated Master Data.
- Lead planning continuous improvement of plans and job cards.
- Ensure EASA Part 145 compliance in planning and job cards
- Deputise for the Leader Planning & Planning & Engineering Manager as required.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and supports Lean initiatives within the Planning department and the planning process.
- Any other duties and responsibilities identified by the Planning & Engineering Manager as it relates to Planning.
Candidate Requirements
- University degree in relevant field and/or at least 3 years’ experience of planning or Leadership/Approved Certifier (B1/ B2/ CAT C) in an aircraft maintenance organisation.
- Very strong planning skills preferably on various aircraft types or within a Maintenance Planning Environment.
- Very customer focused both internal and external & good interpersonal and communication skills:
- Understand Standard Production System principles.
- Robust proven problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated and proven ability to work on ones own initiative and operating to tight deadlines.
- Experience of writing work documents an advantage.
- Have a good working knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain & question all aspects of the maintenance & planning process
- Proficient in use of MSOffice applications
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability
- Excellent coordinating and organizational skills
- Must be able to perform well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive schedules
- Demonstrates proactivity and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- An energetic, dedicated approach combined with excellent organisation skills and a commitment to deadlines, targets and high work standards.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- A flexible working schedule will be required to support this role.
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy

Typical Working Conditions
- Must satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.
- Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon.
- PPE is provided by AAG, and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
- Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
