General Responsibility and Requirements

Within our IT team, AAG have an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated career focused and ambitious PHP/Business Intelligence Developer seeking a role in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment. Our aim as a team is to attract and develop key talent across all levels of our growing aviation business.

The PHP/Business Intelligence Developer will be a customer facing role supporting both client and business needs. We are seeking an individual who thinks outside the box, questioning ideas, solutions and processes, and focuses on continuous improvement and personally seeks to add value in every work assignment. This is an exciting new full time permanent role which will be based at our facility in Shannon, Co Clare. (Contract position also considered)

Essential Job Functions

As a PHP/ Business Intelligence Developer you’ll be tasked with:

  • Identifying and Analysing Business Requirements in an Aviation Based Context
  • Designing and Building Web Based Dashboards, Bespoke Reports and Applications
  • Supporting our internal ERP system
  • Managing Internal and External Change Processes for all BI Functions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Support ongoing IT Projects and resources as required
  • Be a part of the continuous improvement teams to deliver key project results in line with the CI strategy for the company
  • Proven experience gathering and analysing business requirements

Candidate Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • At least a BSc/BEng in Computer Engineering
  • Proven PHP experience – PDO essential
  • Proven SQL experience – MySQL preferable
  • Python expertise preferable – experience in Django, pandas and scipy would be an advantage
  • Experience or a formal qualification in statistics or process control would be an advantage
  • Proven experience in formal project management methodologies and best practices would be an advantage
