This is an exciting new full time permanent role which will be based at our facility in Shannon, Co Clare.
Role
Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) the Airworthiness Engineer will be responsible for conducting surveys to support issuance of Airworthiness Review Certificates and support the CAM with daily the daily management functions of the Organisation.
Essential Job Functions
- Airworthiness Review Certificate Signatory and recommendations
- Manage the daily activities of the Technical Services Engineers and the On-site Representatives
- Delegate Work to the Technical Services Engineers
- Control Aircraft Phase in Management and Phase out while under AAG CAMO Management
- Day to day Airworthiness Management of managed aircraft to include:
- Oversight/tracking and update of Maintenance Activity’s on the Aircrafts Maintenance Tracking System
- Review Aircraft Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins related to the Managed Aircraft
- Prepare and submit Work Orders to Customers & Maintenance Facilities to Perform Work on the Aircraft
- Preparation and submission of Aircraft Maintenance Programs to the Local Aviation Authority
- Provide on-site support during Aircraft Hangar Maintenance visits & Certificate of Airworthiness Renewals
- Submit Applications to the Aviation Authorities as a Signatory
- Construction and submission to the authorities of reports and manuals as required
- Mentoring Technical Service Engineers
- Other duties as directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager
- Availability for extensive global travel
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in an Airline/Independent CAMO is essential
- Previous experience of ARC issuance
- At least five years’ experience in continuing airworthiness*; and
- An appropriate license in compliance with Annex III (Part-66) or an aeronautical degree or a national equivalent; and
- Formal aeronautical maintenance training
- The requirement at 2. above may be replaced by five years of experience in continuing airworthiness additional to those already required by point 1. above.
- Note: * “experience in continuing airworthiness” means any appropriate combination of experience in tasks related to aircraft maintenance and/or continuing airworthiness management (engineering) and/or surveillance of such tasks
- Knowledge of a relevant sample of the type(s) of aircraft gained through a formalised training course; Courses should be a least at a level equivalent to Part-66 Appendix III Level I General Familiarisation and could be imparted by a Part-147 organisation, by the manufacture, or by any other organisation accepted by the competent authority
- Sample of Aircraft types required, at least one of the following:
- B737 300/400/500
- B737 600/700/800/900
- B767
- A318/319/320/321
